Status updates on Facebook let your friends know what’s on your mind or what you’re doing.
To post your status, log into the Facebook app. This will bring you to your news feed.
Tap the Status icon toward the upper left-hand corner of the screen (underneath the search bar).
Use the audience selector to control who can see your status update. Tap to the right of To: and choose if you want your status to be Public, shared only with Friends, or Friends except… to make it so that certain friends can’t see your status.
In your status update, you can simply include text. You can also tap the Photo icon to share a photo, or the Description icon to describe what you’re doing. Feel free include Emojis or your Location by tapping their respective icons.
You can also tag friends by tapping the Tag icon, and then selecting who out of your friends you would like to include in your status update.
When you’re finished, tap Post in the upper right-hand corner of the screen.
Your status update will appear on your Timeline and in your News Feed.
